« WEEKEND: NY, PHI | Main | 2006 Buffalo Bills. »

MONDAY EVENING

Yo. This weekend was real fun.

First and foremost, thanks to everyone in Brooklyn and Philadelphia who came out to see us play records. Both events were dumb fun and included everything from the birth of a legend (Two-Shot Sparkles) to pepper spray on the dancefloor. Pictures from Friday are here - thanks Dan!

We're done til after Jesus' birthday, but you can still see us twice more in 2006: catch us at Savalas again on the 29th and then - AND THEN - meet 2007 with us with CATCHDUBS and THE MOTHERFUCKIN RUB at Southpaw for New Year's. Whoooooooooooooooooooooooooo. Flyers, details below - GET YOUR RUB TIX NOW; THEY WILL SELL OUT IF THEY HAVEN'T ALREADY. THIS IS GONNA BE TOO FUN SO PLEASE DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT SLEEP. THE RUB IS NEW YORK'S BEST PARTY.

2. Can you believe those Buffalo motherfuckin Bills? Squished the Fish like a goddamn steamroller goin over a giant tube of turquoise toothpaste. Say peace to the Dolphins; they're out of the playoffs and done for the year. J.P.'s 3 TD, 0 INT game was so damn strong, ESPN's Len Pasky-relli gave him yesterday's game ball. Bitchin. Shout to the Black Rock dudes who were out at the Ralph for the Bills' first shutout of the Fish in Buffalo since 1987.

UP NEXT, of course, are Travis "15/F" Henry and the resurgent Tennessee Titans. No snow for Orchard Park on the forecast - two straight December home games without snow? Ay caramba! That's un-Buffalo - as is the failure to sell out either the Dolphins or the Chargers games... But! By God, I predict here and now that the 7-7 Bills sell this game out. Too much on the line, too close to Christmas, too much fun. Too bad tickets from Philly are $420 round trip.

While we're on the Bills, God bless Ralph C. Wilson and his principled stand for the little guy, aka my beloved hometown. Can we please see Wilson in the Hall of Fame during his lifetime? RIP Lamar Hunt.

All that said, here's a link to what needs to happen for the Bills to make the playoffs. For my money - and I've checked around for your reading convenience, fair reader - it's the best explanation, step by step, of exactly what needs to happen, a detailed handbook to constructing a miracle. It's too damn convoluted to fully reproduce here, but read up and Bill-lieve like never before and we'll get through this one a-okay. GO BILLS / BEAT TITANS: that's the mantra. That - and for tonight, go Colts.

Closing out this update, right before the Rub and Savalas flyers, is this incredible NFL Films coverage of Pinto Ron, the Commissioner of Bills Tailgating. You may remember Pinto Ron from a couple weeks back. He's pretty hard to forget. This clip is a must-see. The chip bag is incredible - may it never run out.
