Tuesday

My man Peter sent me the triptych above:
Thought ya'll might like this sequential shot of all that is the beauty of buffalo. really good sense of how pissed off we must have made the lord almighty somewhere along the way. mckinley gets shot, steel industry collapses, the chasm of hell opens four times for the bills, even twice for the sabres, and storm fronts like this are a dime a dozen. at least it makes us strong like bull... at least im hoping so, we could just be facked.
After using the word "triptych," especially in a Buffalo context, I would be remiss not to mention this book, another classic set of Buffalo threes from documentary photographer Milton Rogovin. Shots of families from Buffalo's Lower West Side, taken over periods of years. Please check for it; all these folks did. (Neruda! Tipper Gore!)
My very first years were spent on Buffalo's Lower West Side - shout to Fargo St., 16th Street, Summer Street. Shout to my mom and dad.
Elsewhere...
1. Woody - former Turntable Lab ace, purveyor of Peroxide Comics, all-around good dude & dj - has started a music bloggo called 21 Gun Salute. Endorsed, recommended, etc.
2. And Roctakon, the Lab's other erstwhile all-star, the Barkley to Woody's Dan Majerle, is also jumpin into the blog pool face-first. Check him out over here at Roctacraze. Unlike Woody, who took a shine to us and to whom we owe our lives, I'm pretty sure Roc has hated everything me and Jonesy ever did. (While simultaneously likin Woody & Michna's Metal on Metal!) So why link to him? Well, as a First Amendment lawyer, the right to differing opinions is kinda my whole thing. And like Ayres said, he's a funny dude; his reviews were always the most entertaining to my young mind back when I was a freshman living on University Place in Weinstein. (Little did I know that a young, possibly-blond-haired Catch was in the same buildin...)
Besides I saw Roctakon playin once at Canal Room (Dom, I see you; remember that shit? It was your birthday and we were way too broke to order the bottles that we ordered? And despite everyone throwing in like 80 bucks you still had to cover all that? AhAHAHA shit was fun dude) and his djin was definitely the only good thing about that shiny shirt shitshow.
