Thursday

Hola amigos sorry I haven't rapped at ya in a while.
1. Been sick and finishing up a lil' P-Murder mixtape. It's a boisterous twenty minutes or so of me and Jonesy working over a grip of songs, Prof. Murder and otherwise, and it'll be available on their upcoming tour - which includes, of all places, a stop at the legendary Showplace Theater in Black Rock on Buffalo's Northwest side. Mere blocks from where I grew up, the Showplace is a beat-up ol' theater converted long ago into a beat-up ol' music venue. Beat-up but god knows it was something terrific, too. Beautiful to think of now: the Showplace was where all the all-ages shows would be; where I saw De La Soul in seventh grade; where all the bands from my high school would play. I am very curious as to what Mike & co. will make of it as a band. Buffalo readers - and I know you're out there - if you get a chance, go see Professor Murder at the Showplace next Friday night. They're with Ratatat. Get your tickets right now and when you go holler at them dudes and tell em caps sent ya.
2. To paraphrase Blizzy's "Philly Club Anthem," Scooter Libby is g-u-i-l-t-y, yeah-man-four-counts-of-five. I know that today's Thursday and the verdict is very Tuesday, but it's still gratifying. One for the history books, and a useful insight into the inner workings of a thoroughly corrupted White House gone mad with power and secrecy. Now onto the hindrance yet remaining: Cheney.
3. How the world really shapes up.
4. My motherfuckin man Matt Sonzalas down in Houston keeps runnin things (pron. "thangs"). He's got new tracks from his man Devin up; you know you gonna wanna check for em.
5. That's right, John Edwards. You don't have to mess around with any FOX News debate, and sure as hell not in April, a whole six-to-eight months before crunch time. You and I both know that all they're looking for is a soundbite they can sharpen into a shank to cut you with. Unless they change it significantly, there's no need to walk into the House of Knives so far out. Nevada Dems, get it right.
