KWIK LINX:
1. Vanity Fair's answer to the Obama New Yorker cover. Sorry to keep this dumb story alive in your brain for one second longer, but I thought it was worth a click. Unfortunately (fortunately?), this won't be the actual VF cover.
2. Speaking of McCain: Ilan Goldenberg on why the latest McCain "gaffe" should effectively disqualify him from being Commander-in-Chief. This is a couple days old now, and McCain is pushing back a little, but it's still worth reading.
3. A stretch of Route 20A near Ralph Wilson Stadium is now officially Timothy J. Russert highway. I'll be there to tip out some brew for Lil Russ in just 45 short days.
4. Futurist Gordon Michael Scallion and the Matrix Institute. Lookit those "Future Maps"!
5. Dr. Dre's Detox readies for release.
6. NASA astronaut says aliens are real!
7. Reverse magazines. Some are predictably corny, but a bunch are pretty good a couple of pages in. I really liked Them Weekly, Sane, and Unscientific American. Oh, internet...
