Damn
I'm not gonna get that deep into the Ashley Todd-"the big bad imaginary black man carved me up" hoax. It's a nasty little story for about a billion reasons, and it's been covered thoroughly in about a billion other places. (Like here, here, and here. And here. And all these places.)
But I do want to note, just for the record, three key points:
1) According to FOX News VP John Moody, the election is now over;
2) As Michelle Crowley notes, the coverage of the whole incident says a hell of a lot about right wing journalists and bloggers, with Drudge owning his biggest EPIC FAIL since, say, the Kerry intern affair that wasn't; and
3) The fact that she is now blaming the media is just fucking hilarious.
Then again, she also told police that she has a history of mental problems. So not hilarious. Just ugly and sad.
Like I said, I don't wanna get into it. I will shake my head and keep my eyes on the prize.
