Tuesday PM
Yo. Late as hell. I'm beat. With Finny working late these days I've been cooking a lot - most weeknights and probably 4 nights out of 7. Last night I made oven-fried chicken for dinner (b/w "Roast Balsamic Asparagus" and "Roast Potatoes and Yams") and tonight I made barbecue baby back ribs and collard greens and red onions and buttermilk biscuits and broccoli. Now I'm posted up on the couch eating cold strawberries. I'm tired, yall.
1. Whoa. An ex-Navy SEAL from Texas had his dog killed and the story is kinda fucking crazy. Poor dude, poor dog. Glad he didn't kill those fuckers though.

3. Andrew Sullivan's been razor-sharp lately with reference to the unspeakable folly of our nation's drug war. Particularly moved to action by his "Cannabis Closet" entries: here, here, here.
Elsewhere, Glenn Greenwald's recent report on decriminalization in Portugal is also a must-read on the subject, as is the Financial Times' caustic and clear-sighted editorial piece of last week. When we get in power - "we" being my age cohort - we will end this war. Just ask the smart and brave people at Students for a Sensible Drug Policy!
